  * SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS *

Srimadh Sri Varaha MahaDesikan is blessing the release of the following 4 titles published by aradhanam.org. There are 16 books in all. Because Srimadh Bhagavatham is a very large body of work, we have a book for each of the Skandha 1- 9 and 11, 12. Skandha 10 with 90 chapters has further split into 2 books. All 16 books and online publications have the sacred texts in the biggest print size (aka font size) possible in each of the 28 languages. All books conform to US Letter Size specifications which is 8.5 inches wide and 11 inches high. The first sample set of 16 printed books was ready on May 16th, 2024 and we had the maha bhagyam to present it to HH Srimadh Andavan the same day. A photo snap of this event is shown below.

  • рд╢реНрд░реАрдорджреН рднрд╛рдЧрд╡рддрдореН – Srimadh Bhagavatham – 1st Edition

  • рд╢реНрд░реА рджреЗрд╢рд┐рдХ рд╕реНрддреЛрддреНрд░ рдорд╛рд▓рд╛ – Sri Desika Stotra Mala – 2nd Edition

We are blessed to receive HH Srimadh Andavan’s Srimugam for the above 1st Edition books. This was made possible with the help offered by U. Ve. Sri Kadandheththi Thiruchcherai Dr. Asuri Ramacharyar. He is a kainkaryaparar like Sri. Jagannathan Swamigal, and he is always seen around with Srimadh Andavan. We thank Sri. Dr. Ramacharyar Swamigal for his timely efforts.

We are extremely delighted to see a growing number of contributors in our collective kainkaryam for our website and YouTube video production efforts. We warmly welcome each and every one of them. There is a big list of content contributions from this blessed group which we will elaborate in the next section below. It is our mahabhagyam to see HH Srimadh Andavan announce this release with all Contributors’ new content. We have included a small, generic video clip capturing HH Srimadh Andavan’s Manthrakshthai Blessings followed by profile photos of the contributors.

  * Contributors and Contributions *

Here are the aradhanam.org contributors for this release and their respective contributions. We present the contributors in the order of completion of their efforts over time. To maintain focus on the respective contributions, we are providing profile for each contributor under the ‘amshadhAthRNi’ menu in the header section above. Please check them out.

In all humility, adiyen (Nochalur Kasturi Sarangapani) would like to express my utmost reverential gratitude to Srimadh Andavan. After completing Srimadh Ramayanam in the Year 2020, I immediately sought from our Acharyan as to which project I should undertake next. Shri Jagannathan Swamigal, after checking with His Holiness, told me that Srimadh Bhagavatham should be taken up as the next project. It was such a delightful news to receive. adiyen pressed forward.

The power of Acharyan’s Anugraham is immeasurable particularly when adiyen realizes how the website has grown – 9 years of online presence with now over 30,000 PDF documents across 28 languages, nearing the landmark of personally hand-typing 45000 verses, designing and building a transliterating and publishing software that has matured over the years, extending our Sampradhayam outreach through YouTube channel videos with sub-titles in 22 languages, and above and best of all, inviting a host of distinguished contributors to join hands in this noble service to our Acharyans and our Sampradhayam.

adiyEn hand-typed the entire source text for all the 12 Skandhas of Srimadh Bhagavatham. Once again, like in my monumental Srimadh Ramayanam project, I used the 2-volume set of Srimadh Bhagavatham from Gita Press as reference books for the shlokas in Sanskrit. This is our first edition release. Hence we admit that it lacks a few things like a detailed table of contents with chapter titles, Dhyana Shlokas, Mahatmyam and Mangala Shlokas to bring it out in parayanam-style format. This time around though adiyen has marked off great many portions of Srimadh Bhagavatham in its encoded source text. This will help us bring out many elegant booklets automatically on different, important and special topics in Srimadh Bhagavatham. Hence, please stay tuned and look forward to many exciting announcements that will occur as we prepare the second edition in the coming months/year.

We are bringing out a printed version of all Srimadh Bhagavatham Skandhas in Sanskrit and Tamil with a limited number of copies for Srimadh Andavan’s personal use and His select distribution. It is being presented to His Holiness on June 8th for His announcement.

The online version of Srimadh Bhagavatham is accessible using the ‘Stothram’ menu in the above header and then selecting the ‘Srimadh Bhagavatham (1st Edition)’ drop-down menu option. This epic is available as a single PDF volume in each of the 28 languages. Similarly, it is also available as PDFs at the Skandha level. Further down hierarchically, it is also accessible as PDFs at the chapter level within each Skandha. Please check out the web pages as your navigate down from the volume level in the main web page with the link Srimadh Bhagavatham.

Sri. Sundararajan Swamigal helped with Swami Desika Stotra Mala review and corrections last year. This was a great help in shaping the 2nd edition of this book in large print. Srimadh Andavan is releasing the printed book for this latest edition on June 8th. The first edition was released only as online PDFs on the auspicious occasion of our Acharyan’s 57th ThiruNakshathra Mahotsavam in 2023.

With passionate interest in Carnatic-style devotional songs on our Divya Dampati and Bhagavan Sri Rama in particular, adiyen is launching a new YouTube channel named Bhakthi Ranjani. This new channel now has 49 songs with our video production primarily to offer song lyrics as subtitles in 22 languages. The audio for this collection comes from our old cassette tape collection of the songs of great Saints, Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya, Sri Bhadrachala Ramadasu, Sri Thyagaraja Swami, etc and rendered by stellar Carnatic musicians and great Hyderabad staff A.I.R artists in the 1960s and 1970s. I had to first digitize the songs that I had recorded on very old cassette tapes which were luckily preserved well across 4+ decades. Please listen and enjoy.

Smt. Madhumathi Kasturi hand-typed the source text for the entire Srimadh Bhagavadh Gita. This book includes the Gita Dhyana shlokas at the beginning and the Gita Mahatmyam (2 versions) at the end. The book can be used to perform parayanam. TT28 Publisher generates the book in 28 languages scripts and in English script as well.

Srimadh Andavan is releasing the printed book on June 8th.

Bhagavadh Gita is accessible by clicking the ‘Stothram’ menu in the page header above and then selecting ‘New Set (Others)’ menu option. The link Click here is given here for quick access. Please note that one must first select a language (if not already done) to access a PDF for a specific language.

Smt. Ramya Srinivasan has given her audio rendition for 12 Stothrams from Swami Desika Stothra Mala. With her expertise in Carnatic music and with her great talent and experience, the recordings are truly perfect. The words are crystal clear with the correct emphasis on the aspirate consonants which is so important in Sanskrit language. The recording pace is perfectly suitable for everyone to follow or pray along. The Shruthi background is mild and soft. The video production for her renditions follows a standard presentation style with a standard template, the intent being to lay emphasis on stothram script as sub-titles. With this release and for all YouTube video production going forward, we now have a pretty clean and elegant, boxed format to present the Stothram script as sub-titles in 22 languages with the language preference left to the user. This whole package of rendition and presentation effort as YouTube videos is designed as a 100-percent volunteering kainkaryam to help connect/reconnect with Sri Desika Sampradhayam across the globe with a large audience speaking different languages. We appeal to all Bhagavathas to pass on the devotion-inspiring, divine glory and powerful message of Swami Vedanta Desikan.

Smt. Vasantha Srinivasan is heart and soul into Sri Vaishnavism studies. Based on a good and deep understanding of Srimadh Bhagavatham and having written and published a book in Tamil about its essence, she is offering short audio presentations locally at our website and not in a YouTube channel. The audio recordings are in easy-to-follow, simple story-telling style for the entire Srimadh Bhagavatham from beginning to end and covering all major topics. There are 178 audio recordings in all with a total time length around 30 hours and grouped by each Skandha. Each topic is given with titles in both Tamil and English and the audio clip length in minutes and seconds. Please hear the audio recordings at your leisure and enjoy the KrishnAnubhavam all through. Click on the audio icon (audio) alongside each topic to hear the short audio presentation. We are not re-listing access to audio clips here in this page since the list is very large. You will find the above details when you reach the web page by clicking “amshadhAthRNi” menu and “Smt. Vasantha Srinivasan” menu option in the header above.

With a good foundation in Sanskrit, Sri. Sundararajan Swami teaches many of Swami Desikan’s works to his students and trains them to learn and practice shlokams in Santhai format. Here is the link to Sri. Sunderarajan Swami’s profile.

Besides bringing out the book, he has given his audio rendition of the Namavali which we have brought out as videos with script sub-titles in 22 languages in the @prarthana101 YouTube channel. There are a total of 11 videos – one is for the complete rendition and the other 10 videos are for the 10 segments of the 1008 namaas in units of 100 for the first 9 segments and the last one with 108 namaas.   * Print-on-demand Book Publishing *

Srimathe Sri Varaha MahaDesikaya NamaH

With our Acharyan’s anugraham, aradhanam.org is launching “print-on-demand” process for the first time. This is for the Bhagavathas to buy its published books Srimadh Sri Varaha MahaDesikan is releasing on the auspicous day of Srimadh SriRanga Ramanuja MahaDesikan’s 90th ThiruNakshathram Mahotsavam on June 8th, 2024.

Why this novel process a win-win approach?

  • Higher the demand volume (aka number of copies of book by language), lower the cost of each book. We want Bhagavathas to directly reap this benefit.
  • Avoid over-printing books to minimize paper wastage and other related overheads that are tied to printing and inventory.
  • Give Bhagavathas the choice to pick the language of their choice for the shlokam scripts.

How are we pricing books?

  • cost of printing – this depends on demand volume (number of copies for each book by language).
  • Zero profit margin. This component is completely eliminated. aradhanam.org is a non-profit and not-for-profit endeavor.
  • a small donation amount will be included in the book printing cost. This portion will go directly to Srirangam Srimadh Andavan Ashram.

What are the steps?

  • Saturday, June 8, 2024 – HH book release. Sign-up through WhatsApp at the event. No money is collected at this time.
  • Week of June 10th, 2024 – Sign-up form to collect information from interested Bhagavathas. No money is collected at this time. Please sign up if and only if you are committing to purchase. Please do not inflate the sign-up volume and then back out. Your firm decision will be truly appreciated by all other Bagavathas as everyone signing up is genuinely interested in purchasing the book at the lowest price. Only Bhagavathas in India and US are given this offer. For Bhagavathas residing in other countries, please reach out to your personal contacts in India and make your own arrangements to get books through them.
  • Saturday, June 29, 2024 – Sign-up process closes
  • Thursday, July 4th, 2024 – aradhanam.org will compile and review all sign-ups, check the volume of sign-ups for each book in each language and
    • announce online/thru WhatsApp the books by each language that have reached or crossed the minimum volume criteria (500 or more) and its final price.
    • For books by language that qualify for printing, aradhanam.org will inform Bagavathas to pay for the books they signed up for. The amount due will be notified. It will include the cost of postal delivery for Bagavathas (within India only) requesting delivery to out-of-town shipping address specified during sign-up. Full payment to reach SSAA by Monday, July 8th.
  • Only after the money is collected, aradhanam.org will proceed with the book printing process. It may take between 2 to 3 weeks to print the books and have them ready for shipment.
  • Estimted book delivery window is between August 1st and August 15th, 2024 for Bhagavathas residing in India. For Bhagavathas in US, the book prices in USD will notified separately and the delivery window is estimated to be in the October/November timeframe.

We will fine tune the above process as needed. Hope the information provided is adequate. Please feel free to interact and get the clarification you may need.

The whole process above is being done on a volunatry service basis. Appreciate your understanding. Please accommodate and help the process to ride smoothly. There is always room to learn and grow in every endeavor.

As always, we pray this website serves as a good reference material for your parayana, prayer recitation and/or learning purposes in your mother tongue and/or the languages of your choice.
